Yes you heard that right! Yours truly talked to Phil Joel on the phone today!! Really!!! Who is Phil Joel you might ask? Well I would be glad to answer that little question. Ever heard of the Newsboys? Yeah, those guys that sing songs like: Take me to your Leader, Shine, Step up to the microphone, etc. yeah, well he is there bass player (shout out to Rob!). Anyway Phil Joel is the long haired guy in the band. Here’s a pic:
Anyway, here’s how it all went down. I was getting my serve on with Cooking for Christ when by best friend from Bible College called me and said that his church was doing Acquire the Fire tonight. He said that he was hanging out with Phil Joel to pass the time in downtown Chicago (my friends church is in Chitown!) Anyway, since I totally did not believe that he was chillin with a member of the Newsboys I said put him on the phone….and he did!!
I talked to Mr. Joel for about 2 minutes. It was pretty cool and made me feel like I was really important (I don’t really know why but it did!) Anway, since I am a huge Newsboys fan and have been listening since I was like in 8th grade I can die now for my dream has come true. Ok, not really but it was still cool. Anyway, that’s it for now.
